Participate at Jobmatch 2018 and expand your business network with over 60 private and public employers taking part of the Jobmatch event on the 28th of December in the Nordic House

If you have a higher education, have acquired skills within a certain trade, or have a professional experience and would like to engage in the Faroese job market, Jobmatch might be the right event for you to attend. At Jobmatch you can expand your business network to around 60 companies and institutions that will be participating in the event in the Nordic House. Jobmatch is a unique opportunity to learn more about job possibilities in the Faroes Island and to introduce yourself to potential employers.

Book a JobPrát and be guaranteed an informal chat with relevant participants
In order to make sure that you get in contact with those private and public businesses that you find relevant it is recommendable to book a JobPrát. A JobPrát (JobTalk) is an informal conversation of 10 minutes with those Jobmatch participants, that you would like to get in contact with. You can book a JobPrát on the Jobmatch webpage. It is not mandatory but only an opportunity to book a JobPrát. It is also possible only to register without booking a JobPrát. Whether you book a JobPrát or only register on the Jobmatch webpage a name tag will be made for you and will be ready when you arrive at the Nordic House on the 28th

The deadline for booking JobPrát is on Wednesday 26th of December at 8pm.

Unfortunately, the Jobmatch webpage is only in Faroese, so hopefully you can get someone to assist you.

Information desk and presentation
A new feature of Jobmatch 2018 is a presentation especially relevant for foreigners living in the Faroe Islands. The presentation will be held in English by David Im, from the Immigration Office and Siri Tórgarð, Immigration Consultant at Tórshavnar kommuna. They will give a talk on “Navigating the Faroese labour market: the know how’s, the dos and the don’ts”.

At Jobmatch we will also have an Information Desk where consultants from the Immigration Office, the House of Industry and The International Office (ASK) will be at your service on the 28th of December.
