Hagstovan tekur pulsin á føroyska samfelagnum. Vit hava hagfrøðiligu vitanina um fólk, samfelag, vinnu, búskap og umhvørvi í Føroyum. Og vit bjóða tær vælkomnum á gátt, at finna røttu hagtølini til ritgerðirnar, uppgávurnar og verkætlanirnar.
Royn teg á Hagstovuni
Leitar tú eftir fakligum royndum, meðan tú er undir lestri? Møguleiki er fyri starvsvenjing á Hagstovuni.
Hagtalsframleiðsla er umfatandi, avbjóðandi og krevur fjøltáttaða serfrøði. Vit gera tørvsgreiningar, menna háttaløg, byggja neyðugar skipanir til hagtalsframleiðsluna, savna inn upplýsingar, greina og viðgera hagtøl, og miðla hagfrøðiliga vitan um føroyska samfelagið.
Framleiðslan gongur soleiðis tvørtur um fakmørk og fevnir m.a. um hagfrøði, búskaparfrøði, samfelagsfrøði, KT og miðlafrøði.
Sum starvslesandi á Hagstovuni fært tú innlit í allar tættir í hagtalsframleiðsluni. Tú fær eina høvuðsuppgávu at loysa, sum er tengd at tíni fakligu bakgrund og tí, sum Hagstovan annars hevur tørv á.
Føroyskur stovnur við altjóða útsýni
Tørvurin á dygdargóðum og álítandi hagtølum er eins stórur í Føroyum sum í øðrum londum. Hagtøl og hagtalsframleiðsla hjá okkum verða skipað eftir altjóða leisti og gjørd í samstarvi við hagstovur í øðrum londum. Endamálið er at framleiða hagtøl, sum eisini eru sambærlig við onnur lond.
Ein avgerandi uppgáva hjá Hagstovuni er miðlan av hagtølum. Vit arbeiða miðvíst við at veita almenninginum so lætta atgongd sum gjørligt til dygdargóð hagtøl við teimum útgávum, vit hava.

Are you looking for technical experience while studying? There is an opportunity for internship at the Bureau of Statistics.
Statistics production is extensive, challenging, and requires complex expertise. We carry out needs analyses, develop methodologies, build the necessary systems for the production of statistics, collect information, analyse and process statistics, and disseminate statistical knowledge about the Faroese society.
The output thus cuts across disciplines and includes, among other things, statistics, economics, sociology, KT and media studies.
As an intern at the Bureau of Statistics, you will gain insight into all aspects of statistics production. You will be given a major task to solve that is dependent on your technical background and what the Bureau of Statistics otherwise needs.
Faroese institution with an international outlook
The need for high-quality and reliable statistics is as great in the Faroe Islands as in other countries. Our statistics and statistics production are organized according to international standards and done in cooperation with statistical offices in other countries. Its purpose is to produce statistics that are also comparable with other countries.
A critical task of the Bureau of Statistics is the dissemination of statistics. We are committed to providing the public with as easy access as possible to quality statistics with the publications we have.
