Gjaldstovan is the institution that connects the Faroe Islands financially and digitally.
Our activities are wide-ranging. We operate the Government’s Financial Management System, which forms the foundation of the national accounts, and we ensure the operation of the Government Network and the School Network. We manage the Procurement Portal, where public tenders are advertised, and we place special emphasis on IT security to protect critical societal systems—of which Digital Faroe Islands (Talgildu Føroyar) is also a part.
